Assuming you have a Nintex account, the first thing you need to do is log in to the Nintex platform. Once you are logged in, you will be taken to your Nintex homepage. On the homepage, you will see a variety of options for creating and managing your Nintex processes. For this guide, we will focus on the “Create a New Process” option.
Click on “Create a New Process” and you will be taken to the process builder page. Here, you will give your process a name and description. You will also specify when your process should start (manually or automatically) and how often it should run (if applicable). Once you have completed these fields, click “Create.”
You will now be taken to the Nintex process designer. This is where you will build out your Nintex process. The Nintex process designer is a drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy to add, remove, and edit process steps. For this guide, we will walk you through adding a simple approval step to your Nintex process.
First, drag the “Approval” action from the left-hand sidebar into your Nintex process. Next, you will need to configure your approval step. In the “Configure Approval” popup window, you will specify who needs to approve the task and how they should be notified (e.g., email). You can also add a custom message that will be sent along with the approval request. Once you have completed these fields, click “OK.”
Your Nintex process is now complete! To test your process, click on the “Start Process” button in the top-right corner of the Nintex process designer. This will trigger your Nintex process and send an approval request to the specified users.
Congratulations! You have successfully created your first Nintex process. Stay tuned for our next guide, where we will show you how to add additional steps to your Nintex process.
